Monday was my older sister's anniversary with her wonderful hubby P$. Since she had to come down to St. Louis without him for a meeting, I got to celebrate with her--and in our family that usually means making a big happy dinner to share!

ladur- yay!
As a classically trained pastry chef, I have a special place in my heart for macarons: those little French cookies--crunchy on the outside and soft inside, sandwiched with cream or jam. So when my younger sister (who lives in Switzerland) came home to visit a few weeks ago, she brought with her a gaggle of Laduree products, tucked away in their beautifully scripted boxes. Rose-scented, salted caramel-filled, and cocoa-dusted, the scrumptious little treats are like little gems in a jewel box, waiting to be plucked!
